Organizational Setup

The Nagaland Medical Council is made up of the following members:

• Four (4) members nominated by the Government of Nagaland.
• Nine (9) members elected by registered practitioners from amongst themselves including one (1) member elected by the Nagaland In-Service Doctors’ Association (NIDA)  and one (1) member elected by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Nagaland Branch.
• One member elected by the Medical faculty from each Medical College established by the law in Nagaland.
• Dean of the Medical faculty of the Nagaland University and the Principal Director of Health and Family Welfare as ex-officio members.

The President and the Vice-President are elected by the members of the Nagaland Medical Council from amongst themselves.
